program
provides
entry-level
training
for
the
person
seeking
a
career
as
a
Pharmacy
Assistant.
Graduates
will
be
able
to
assist
the
pharmacist
in
preparing
and
dispensing
medications,
maintaining
written
and
computerized
medication
records,
and
in
a
variety
of
other
tasks
associated
with
pharmacy
operations
in
hospitals,
clinics,
and
pharmacies.
Vatterott

program
is
designed
to
prepare
the
student
for
entry-level
employment
as
a
Pharmacy
Assistant,
performing
administrative,
clerical
or
pharmacy
assistant
duties
or
any
similar
positions
within
the
health
care
field.
The
program
consists
of
60
weeks,
59-quarter
credit
hours
of
theory
and
associated
lab
and
13-quarter
credit
hours
of
Applied
General
Education
instruction
in
the
areas
described
below.
Each
10-week
term
is
equal
to
12-quarter
credit
hours.
The
entire
program
has
a
total
of
72-quarter
credit
hours.
The
diploma
program
is
designed
to
prepare
the
student
for
entry-level
employment
as
a
Pharmacy
Office
Assistant,
performing
administrative
clerical
duties
or
any
similar
positions
within
the
health
care
field.
The
program
consists
of
60
weeks,
66
quarter
credit
hours
of
theory
and
associated
lab
and
6
quarter
credit
hours
of
applied
general
education
instruction
in
the
areas
described
below.
