Program
teaches
front
office
procedures
for
medical
and
dental
general
practices,
specialty
practices,
and
clinics.
This
program
includes
instruction
in
professional
ethics,
medical
and
dental
terminology,
medical
and
dental
insurance,
use
of
office
equipment,
CPR
training,
patient
charting,
and
vital
signs.
You
will
also
receive
basic
training
in
computer
software,
including
word
processing,
spreadsheets,
and
database
management.
Upon
completion
of
classroom
instruction
and
practical
training,
you
will
perform
learned
skills
during
a
160-hour
externship
in
a
physician's
office,
dentist's
office,
clinic,
or
other
approved
medical/dental
care
facility.

skills,

work
habits
required
for
an
entry-level
position
in
clinics,
government
health
departments,
hospitals,
long-term
care
facilities,
physicians'
offices,
and
private
transcription
firms.
